Makita Reciprocating Saw

Looking to pick up a Makita reciprocating saw?  There are many saws out there to consider when looking to make a purchase, but if you’re looking to get a Makita reciprocating saw, you’re in good hands with this company.  Many work sites use Makita brand tools and for a reason, they are durable and trustworthy, they do their job well, however if you’re unsure which model of Makita reciprocating saw to go with, hopefully these reviews will help you make a more informed decision:

1.  Bare-Tool Makita BJR182Z 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion Cordless Reciprocating Saw

This saw has a variable speed high torque motor that gives you between 0 and 2,900 strokes a minute, this with a 1-1/8” length stroke makes for faster cutting than your usual saw.  This is also pretty small at only 17-3/4” long and 7.7 pounds, it keeps your level of fatigue to a minimum.

One thing to note while using this is that the batteries last around 12 minutes if you’re really going at it hard.  The batteries also heat up big time and take about 30-40 minutes before they are charged, cooled off and ready to go again, for this reason, it’s a good idea to get plenty of batteries.

Overall this is a great sized saw, light, solid, with good power and has the torque needed to prevent any bogging down.

The thing that really sets this apart is that it’s cordless and has a great LED light that allows operation in dark conditions, this sets it apart from all other saws 12 amps or less, especially at only $69.88 on Amazon.

2.  Makita JR3070CT Reciprocating Saw

Here’s another great Makita reciprocating saw that has a 4.5/5 rating on Amazon and clocks in at a bit of a higher price at $182.25.

This is an extremely powerful reciprocating saw at a total of 15 amps.  It also has an advanced anti-vibration system built into it.  A lot of reciprocating saws end up getting jerky when you try to use them, however this one doesn’t move all over when you use it.  Blade changing is easy and can be done with 1 hand.

Many of the 20 reviewers of this product rave about it and consider it the best reciprocating saw they’ve ever used, people believe it to be smoother and quieter than the comparable Milwaukee recip saw.

If you need a top of the line, powerful reciprocating saw that cuts fast and accurately without trouble, you might want to look into picking this one up.

Now if you’re looking for a Makita reciprocating saw, these are just 2 of your options, albeit, some of the better ones, I do advise you to do additional research before deciding on any one of them.
